TRIPADVISOR - SiouxMcK - 4 Dec 2020 - - - The food! (and everything else!) - - - We hadn't been to Umngazi for more than 15 years but it lived up to all our fond memories. It is idyllic in so many ways. A really relaxing getaway. Stunning hikes, or lazy beach days... But by far the best part of this place that offered so much to compliment was the food. TRIPADVISOR - laurelS1264DB - 23 Nov 2020 - - - Laurel King Umngazi experience - - - Excellent overall. Only snag is restricted meal times, and no room service for meals. Sometimes one wants to relax and sleep in a bit ater, but is forced to wake up for breakfast by 7. Other hotels extend breakfast till 10 or 11 even, for more flexibility. Same goes for lunch and dinner. Sometimes a person feels like staying in, and having room service for dinner, but not available. (https://tinyurl.com/yxuustbo)

TRIPADVISOR - 871gavin - 2 Nov 2020 - - - The best in SA (apart from the food) - - - This is one of my favourite places in the country. Totally magical setting, rooms are amazing, and the staff and service so brilliant. The food is decidedly average, which just stands out as a bit of a blind spot given that everything else is so well done (small gripe: the cocktails are dreadful).
