Course Description:
Designed specifically for people leaders, Lead, Empower and Thrive uses emotional intelligence to improve leader’s self-awareness, empathy, influence and wellbeing.
Leaders better connect with others and drive better collaboration, talent retention and engagement as a result. Outside of the workplace leaders better connect with others and enhance personal relationships becoming better partners, parents, siblings and friends.

Course Contents:
Module 1: Emotionally Intelligent Leadership
Discover the Genos International model of emotional intelligence and understand the social neuroscience of emotions and the connections between behaviour, performance and decision-making. Review and identify critical emotional intelligence leadership behaviours for your personal development and individual leadership journey.

Module 2: The Aware Leader
Learn how to improve self-awareness to be more intentional in working with others. This module helps enhance awareness of others and empathy to become more behaviourally agile in your leadership approach. Focus on how you connect, communicate and influence those you lead.
Module 3: The Authentic Leader
Facilitate difficult conversations with openness and finesse. Learn to effectively express emotions in your leadership role and discover a new model for facilitating challenging discussions and performance. Enhance how you connect and build relational trust with others.

Module 4: The Coaching Leader
Coaching has been defined as “…unlocking people’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them”. Busy leaders don’t necessarily have the time to qualify as coaches; but they can learn to support their team members using a coaching style – by having coaching-style conversations.
Learn and practice a unique model for leaders, the G.R.E.A.T. model, for having more focused and productive conversations with their people. Immediately begin to handle interactions with your team in a much more structured and productive way.
Module 5: The Resilient Leader
Develop personal resilience and create a mentally healthy working environment for others. Leaders need to pay attention to the way they manage time, how they behave and continuously improve how they lead others. In this module, explore triggers and your default behaviours. Identify a range of techniques for managing stress and bouncing back from challenging situations.

Module 6: The Empowering Leader
Inspire performance through persuasion, coaching, and influence. Learn to empower others and unleash their full potential by understanding the fundamentals of human motivation at work. Practice applying a model and conversation on motivational strategies. Reflect on learning from the entire program to build and maintain the momentum of the learning moving forward.

Course Outcomes:
Through practical tools and techniques, participants enhance their:
• self-awareness and the influence they have on others;
• empathy and capacity to flex their leadership approach to better connect, communicate and influence others;
• ability to hold authentic conversations with others about behaviour and performance;
• resilience and well-being so they can remain more centred under pressure and project greater leadership confidence;
• decision-making and buy-in for decisions;
• capacity to lead in person and virtually.

Cost includes:
1. 6 x 90 minute instructor lead learning modules. Each module comprises inspirational content, practical tools, techniques and activities. Participants learn with like-minded colleagues and interact with internationally recognised facilitators who develop emotionally intelligent leadership within Fortune 500 companies every day.
2. A Genos 180 Emotionally Intelligent Leadership Assessment and Digital Report. This assessment provides participants with feedback on how well they demonstrate emotionally intelligent leadership behaviours helping to personalise the course content to their individual needs. The digital report takes leaders through a process that helps them turn their results into a meaningful action plan.
3. A comprehensive workbook detailing the tools and techniques used in the program and space to support note-taking and personal development planning.
4. Optionally, for an additional R3750, upscale your program to include a 360 assessment and 1hr personal live-virtual debrief with a Genos Certified coach.
