About DEMO HOTEL UMHLANGA

(OFFICIAL TOURISIM BOARD RATING)

A voyage within the voyage...
A good mix of colonial heritage and contemporary design with Durban accents. No boundaries, inside and outside flow harmoniously into each other. To your greatest delight, allow yourself to get out of your routine and be carried away on a faraway beach.

TRIPADVISOR - Andrew Schär - 25 Jun 2019 - - - Incredible staff and a beautiful resort - - - The resort itself is beautiful. There are palm trees everywhere and the structure and facilities are top-notch. We went on the all-inclusive package (which I'd highly recommend) and the food and drinks were fantastic. What I also loved about this resort was that it catered to both couples and families with kids, without ever being overly focussed on kids like Club Med etc. We had our 3-year-old and our 1-year-old with us and the play centre was great. So definitely don't be put off by this resort if you're anti-kids - you'll hardly notice them as it's a big resort. In terms of the beach, it's not the biggest, the water isn't the bluest, and there are plenty of stones in the water. That said, it didn't bother us really - it was more of an observation compared to our previous stay at Trou Aux Biches which has an incredible beach (though also not the bluest water). The spa was great too, though at Rs3200 it's more than double what we'd pay for a spa treatment in South Africa. The free water-sports was great and you can paddle up the river if you like.
