TRIPADVISOR - Downlacala - 14 Apr 2019 - - - Total Relaxation - - - We recently spent 8 nights in Zilwa and had a fantastic time. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind, this is a great option. The hotel itself is in an amazing location on the north of the island, approx 1 hour from the Airport. The views as you enter the Hotel are breathtaking. Gym, tennis and free watersports were also provided so plenty to do if you could bring yourself away from the Pool area! The evening entertainment as well was quiet good (sometimes resort entertainment can be poor) but the DJ and bands that played were decent. Only few pointers: We found the Restaurants difficult to book, so when you check in, i would advise to book the onsite restaurants asap. We tried to book the Indian restaurant for a second time and we were told it was booked out. When we walked past that evening, it was half empty. I am unsure if the Hotel correctly manages these bookings as there were free tables in a lot of the restaurants each night, quiet frustrating. Also, there is no ATM onsite so bring cash with you. The staff were very friendly and very helpful whenever we had any questions.
The rooms and the resort were spotless and very well maintained.
Food was fantastic with a great variety throughout the different restaurants onsite, we were on the all inclusive package and had a different type meal every night.
