TRIPADVISOR - Ceri_1107 - 14 Jan 2019 - - - A wonderful honeymoon stay - - - I’m sat at the airport on the way back from a fantastic 17-night stay at the Zilwa and wanted to submit my review as quickly as possible to say how great this hotel is. It really feels like we’ve spent the last 17-days relaxing in paradise. We really did have the most wonderful honeymoon. The free activities the hotel offers were really good - we enjoyed the snorkelling and glass bottom boat trips as well as kayaking, paddle boarding and taking the pedalo out. We would recommend trying all of the restaurants, including the lunchtime BBQ on Gran Zil which is a nice way to break up a day. Our favourite restaurants were Lor Disab and Siaw. We booked all of the restaurants before we arrived but had no problems making additional bookings when we were there - as long as you give a few days notice then the hotel can accommodate you - it isn’t realistic to expect to book a meal for the same evening and generally I wouldn’t expect to do that at home either so don’t mind that. The hotel doesn’t overbook the restaurants but that ensures a good service and an intimate dining experience which we thought was great. Waterproof shoes for the sea really are a must as there is a lot of coral and we saw a lot of people with cut feet but this can be easily avoided - especially as you can borrow them from the hotel. The hotel was full whilst we were there but it never felt overly busy which was nice and there was never an issue getting a sunbed each day. Overall we had a brilliant time - some of the reviews picking fault with this hotel should remember that the hotel is only a four-star hotel. Yes, it would be nice if Prosecco was included in the all inclusive and maybe there are some minor things that could be improved like the quality of the towels. However, this is a fantastic hotel. ...(And) found the staff to be friendly and accommodating throughout. In particular Satyam on the bar, Yash on the beach and Lovevy the food and beverage supervisor deserve a special mention for great service, great drinks and going above and beyond throughout. Also, Prakash, Durson, Rajiv, Rohan, Dylan and Karishma were great as well. We took two day trips with Big John and thought they were both excellent. He provides a great service and the trips were really good value for money...( and the staff really made our honeymoon so enjoyable. Thank you to all Ceri and Darryl
