1 How would you rate your overall stay and our facilities and amenities?

TRIPADVISOR - Steveoverton72 - 9 Jan 2019 - - - Christmas and New years. - - - first up . I really enjoyed this holiday thanks to mostly my friends and wife I travelled with and the new friend we made while staying there, Also this includes a hand full of zilwa staff we met. The hotel it's self is beautiful and the gardens and surrounding area are immaculate. the garderners must work really hard on the up keep. The hotel complex was very good the main pools were kept really clean and very cooling in the sun. The views from the lobby and the main bar were great, perfect picture post card. The whole complex was very good. The beach front was super great the views from the beach were outstanding. The water straight off the beach wasn't as clear as I thought it would be but you can't do anything about mother nature . There were plenty of water activities to do also with tennis courts and vollybally. The sand is course and maybe shipped in by the hotel but that is no problem , they do provide jelly shoes if needed and flip flops in your room. so all in all good so far. It is also a good idea to book the restaurants before you go as if it is busy you will find it difficult to get a table. Which personally the hotel need to look at this booking system different as who knows want they would like to eat 3 to 4 days in advance while on holiday . The hotel only offers 2 sittings 7pm and 8.30pm which is very odd and not great and each restaurant can only do a small amount of covers a night which is ridiculous especially if you are all inclusive. At NEW YEARS eve party all the guest including the all inclusive had to pay for your drinks After 12.30am this was unacceptable as we played a lot of money to come over this time and to be told you need to pay for drinks especially when the hotel it's self had the bars on till at least 4am is a big CON . I also found on occasions it was one rule for one one one for another depending on what kind of fuss you would make. The cataraman trip and the sun set trip was very good for the price which we enjoyed and would recommend. All in all like I said at the start I enjoyed the holiday it was good to relax and chill out but there could do with making big improvements on the service they provide. For me All inclusive means all inclusive, I do understand that you are not going to get top wines and champagne and do need to pay that bit extra. Unfortunately there were too many little problems which were starting to get on my nerves for me to pay that kind of money to return at this time. I really do hope they sort some of these out and they would then definitely earn the 5 star but for now it's very average for a lot of money over the festive period. (https://tinyurl.com/y7hgabkg)

2 How did our team look after you during your stay with us?

I found it took a while for the staff to warm to you when we first arrived, it took about 3 days until they started to be more friendly with you, tipping helps this greatly. I would just like to thank the hand full of staff that did make my stay that little more enjoyable were (sorry if the names are not spelt correctly ). waiter staff at main bar were rammiz, rohan, visram, adrian, and at the bar was oula la.

3 How would you rate our rooms? (if applicable)

The room where we were staying was really clean , and kept to a good standard every day, nothing to fancy but very well done in a marituis old style over looking the gardens and a slight sea view which was lovely.

4 How would you rate our food and beverages?

The buffet restaurant is very good tho the only thing that I found was after the main festive period the quality started to drop of slightly. But on the whole the food was a good to very good standard . The dining experience was not as good as I would expect for the price of the holiday for an all inclusive. As i would find that In the buffet would have a prawn curry on which was great but then in one of the al a cart restaurants they wanted you to pay a supplement ,for what a bigger prawn.. most of the indoor restaurants were very hot to eat in I would say very uncomfortable at times I think the hotel might have to look into ways to cool these down and make the dining experience a lot better.
