External Review's Review of DEMO HOTEL MUSGRAVE

TRIPADVISOR - Kim W - 20 Jun 2019 - - - Lovely stay with great view! - - - In a few words. Amazing location. Location - The location of the hotel in the North of the island is absolutely beautiful. As soon as you enter the place you will be blown away by the view over the sea and small islands on the horizon. Part of the resort is a small private island that a boat will take you to. Hi. Beach&Pool - There are various pools across the resort with various temperatures and depths but all designed beautifully. Therefore even if waterball games or aqua gym session are going on you can go to another pool for more tranquility. The kids pool has a sun roof. Due to the natural shape of tue bay the resort has a few beaches which breaks up a big mass of guests into smaller groups and thus makes relaxing at the beach nice and quiet as well. The water is really shallow around the bay and therefore not really suitable if you are looking to go swimming properly. But if you are just looking to cool down, it is perfect for you. Sport facilities - One of the pools is particularly suitable for swimming and water ball. The hotel also offers a beach volleyball space and a tennis court. However I have not tried them as I didn’t see any sessions going on. The hotel also has a small gym. If you are looking for a one hour work out a day, it will do, but bear in mind that it does not have a lot of weight machines, but mainly cardio machines. It does the job and is clean in general, but unfortunately cleaning towels, water and normal towels are not restocked often enough. Also the A/C in the gyM does not properly work and so it felt very stuffy and smelly in there even though the machines were clean. By looking after a few of those things more often, the hotel could improve the gym facility a lot. Entertainment/organized activities - The is live music almost every night at the bar. If you are looking for shows, then this place is not for you, as they do not have this apart from a welcome event once a week. We enjoyed the music and didn’t miss a thing. Throughout the day there are a number of activities but sometimes we missed someone walking round reminding people of activities that were about to start. This way more people would have joined beach soccer or water ball etc. Other - The hotel has a lot of activities free of charge such as stand up paddle board (careful not available on windy days!), kayaking, free snorkeling or glass bottom boat trips. ...(with) super lovely staff that will go the extra mile for you. You will relax by on of the many pools or beach areas and be treated with food throughout the day. Staff - I can only say that the staff at the hotel wherever you go is super friendly and welcoming. They all go the extra mile to make your stay a nice one!!

Rooms - All rooms are located in little houses with a maximum of three floors. The design of the rooms is modern but fits in well with the design of the hotel and surroundings. Decorations are with natural materials such as wood which gives a nice beach feeling. Only downside is that the rooms are not very soundproof and so you can always hear if people are leaving the room in the middle of the night to get to the airport or if small kids start to play early in the morning in the room or doors are banged.

Food&Drink - The food is really nice and changed up often. I would recommend trying the restaurants. My favorite one was Lot Disab by the beach. My least favourite one was the Chinese as it offered a lot of standard dishes and I was missing things like dim sum. The lunch options are great as well. You should definitely try a pineapple burger - really tasty mix of meat and pineapple! Or if you want BBQ for lunch take a trip to the resorts own island for a BBQ lunch. The drinks, especially cocktails are really nice. Only thing I missed as part of the all inclusive package was some sort of sparkling wine/Prosecco.
