External Review's Review of DEMO HOTEL DURBAN

1 Would you recommend us to others?

Overall I would return but not in a hurry,

2 How would you rate your overall stay and our facilities and amenities?

TRIPADVISOR - ofutch - 5 Apr 2019 - - - Overall a good experience - - - Stayed here half-board for a week. I'll begin with the good stuff, the hotel is beautiful and is as pictured, the walk through at the beginning to the pool is great, nice layout and definitely a plus. My girlfriend used the spa services and was really pleased with the service and the price range for what was available. Now for the negatives: Also, we hired a car and as their was limited parking out front (about 6 spaces or so usually filled with taxis) we had to give our keys each time to reception in case they needed to rearrange cars, not usually an issue however on 3 occasions we were blocked in and it took over 10-15 minutes at times to move around to get us out which almost made us miss some excursions. 3 How did our team look after you during your stay with us?

Staff overall were very friendly and accommodating, very eager to help and were polite the whole stay. They speak both French and English fluently. They helped us book a variety of trips/scuba diving etc.

4 How would you rate our rooms? (if applicable)

The room was spacious, bed was fantastic and the bathroom/balcony were both great, can't fault the rooms. The Wi-Fi in most of the hotel was okay, however in our room it was non-existant we had to constantly reload to get even a few minutes of connection, very frustrating. Mauritius is very expensive for cell data so either use offline maps to get around or download when you have wifi etc.

5 How would you rate our food and beverages?

Secondly the food. Haven't been to many places where I could out cook the chefs...and thats really saying something! The Kot Nou restaurant was a lovely addition and a much better experience than their main restaurant. The occasional dinner food was decent but really could be improved here.
